Hi, thanks for stopping by to see the update to our website, we have had an amazing first ten months of trade since we opened last July and enjoyed feeding many visitors since we started doing food at the beginning of November.
We are so appreciative of the feedback we have been receiving and seeing many people enjoying themselves here over our first festive period too. It has been phenomenal to be honest, and exceeded our hopes and expectations!
We now serve lunches and dinners as the kitchen has been open six months now, the menus change day by day so you won’t find copies online but we are always happy to let you know what’s on so just give us a call. Lunches are served Tuesday – Saturday 12noon – 2.30pm and evening meals on these days from 6.30-9pm and on Sundays we do Roast Lunches from 12noon – 3.30pm.
We pride ourselves on our homemade food, cooked here freshly from scratch every day, we make our dishes in small batches and when they’re gone they’re gone and we make more! This ensures that our offerings are fresh, seasonal, local and that we don’t have much going to waste. The menu is simple, light lunches, soups, sandwiches and basket food along with evening dishes such as homemade pies, pub classics and interesting vegetarian dishes. It’s not expensive or fancy as we are trying to give good value for money and offer fair priced dishes for quality produce and you knowing exactly who’s made your dish and where it’s come from.
Following a huge amount of work on the kitchen and pulling together of our great new team we are happy to see that things are settling into a good rhythm here and always hoped that word of mouth about what we are doing would go out and fortunately it has, we have been so pleased with hearing about this!
Christmas was a really busy time, we enjoyed many groups having parties, special birthdays and events with us and were thrilled to feed you all, thank you for choosing to celebrate here at The Greyhound. We saw in the New Year in style with a great live band and everyone loved the atmosphere seeing in 2018, we have enjoyed a couple more great band nights here too since then with Phoenix Fires and Velvet Goldmine and have more to come on the next bank holiday weekend at the end of May, don’t miss out, come and join in!
We are so proud of the way our new business is going, the support it has seen so far and feedback it has received is so encouraging, we thank you all for giving us the chance to enjoy Charcott and make new friends here in this lovely community, it certainly seems to have it’s heart back!
Following this busy time and having gone full pelt since we got our keys on the 31st March last year, how a year passed already we don’t know but it has been awesome and we are loving it, meeting many new and lovely people during this time has been great and we have certainly enjoyed some great events with everyone.
Our Quiz Nights are now well established on the first Tuesday of each month, along with a fun folk evenings on the third Thursday of each month, with The Simpletones, entertaining us with jolly foke and fun ditties in the bar. Steak Nights have taken off too and our next one is on the 15th May, book your table to avoid disappointment.
We will be introducing a new what’s on page here soon too so we can bring you all the latest for the Summer diary, keep your eye out too on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages too for more details.
