Hello and thank you for visiting our website. A little about us…
We are Fran and Richard, the owners of The Greyhound Charcott, our Free House. We bought the pub at the beginning of April 2017 and worked tirelessly refurbishing it to bring a fresh, yet cosy and welcoming feel to this lovely country pub situated in the pretty hamlet of Charcott.
Obviously last year, 2020, presented us all with interesting challenges through the situation with Coronavirus and the associated COVID-19 lockdown periods. We managed to get through it by offering a take away service within our local community. Sadly from today, 5th January 2021 we are now back into a new National Lockdown #3 and this means we can’t reopen our doors to welcome you back. We will continue to be here for our community and if you need any help or would just like a chat please just call us! The pop up Pitstop Takeaway Cafe will continue to run safely on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so if you’re walking or cycling for your exercise please feel free to include us in your route as you won’t be disappointed! Our evening takeaways start again this weekend, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd January and Sunday Roasts are back on from this Sunday 24th January! We will keep you updated on our Update on Life at The Greyhound page, check this out!
Have a look around our website, especially the latest updates section and get to know a bit about us and what we are aiming to achieve here. We opened our doors on 15th July 2017 and have really enjoyed getting to know everyone that has visited us over the past (almost) three years, since we put the heart back into Charcott, and turned The Greyhound into a proud, award winning, beautiful destination country pub…..it’s your pub and our home and we can’t wait to welcome you all again!
