On the bar, we strive to bring you the best of local variety, we are spoilt for choice with excellent local independent breweries across Kent and Sussex and we enjoy trying them out! Many of you will know Larkins, our local brewery; the closest to us at just two miles from our pump! Their beer is made only from their own hops grown on their farm, right beside us. Larkins Traditional is their best bitter, a true Kentish real ale at 3.4% and we often offer this on our bar. We mix it up with a couple of other really great session bitters from Brumaison, especially their BB at only 3.6% and Canterbury Ales, Kentish Best at only 3.7%. Both also absolutely delicious and incredibly popular here.
We are proud to have become a CAMRA award winning pub in within a short time frame and being the West Kent CAMRA 2019 Pub of the Year Runner Up is excellent for us especially on the beer front. We work hard to look after our beers and bring an interesting selection to our bar.
We are always rotating on our pumps and trying a selection of great beers from the likes of Larkins, Brumaison, Canterbury Ales, Tonbridge Brewery, Iron Pier Brewery, 360 Brewery, Gun Brewery, Northdown Brewery, The Greyhound Brewery, The Old Dairy, Dartford Wobbler Brewery, Kent Brewery, Franklins Brewery, Range Ales, Three Legs Brewery, Whitstable Brewery, and Dorking Brewery to name but a few over the coming months so hope you will enjoy checking these out.
On the lager pumps we are giving the retro but totally revamped Hofmeister a go from the off! In their own words: Yup, you read it right: Hofmeister is back. And it’s bigger, better, Bavarian-er than ever before. Slow-brewed in Germany and crafted according to the 1516 Reinheitsgebot Beer Purity Law, we think our genuine Bavarian Helles is the best lager you can get your paws on. If you enjoy your cider we stock the infamous Chiddingstone Cider by one of our favourite locals, Tim Davies, brewed up at Larkins where Tim has his barn, it’s punchy at 7.5% but ever so popular! We also have an excellent 
selection available here from Dudda’s Tun, based at Doddington, near Sittingbourne in Kent. True Kentish cider to the core! Our range of Dudda’s currently includes Disco, from the press of discovery apples at 5.3%, Blackcurrant, Apricot, Cherry and Elderflower all at 4%. They are fresh and delicious, perfect served over ice.
